Rub elbows with Miami Dolphins players, alumni, coaches and cheerleaders during Fins Weekend, an annual fishing, golfing and partying extravaganza that benefits the Miami Dolphins Foundation. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday with the Celebrity Draw Party, presented by Sun Life Financial, at Turnberry Isle. It’s an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and interactive games like putting and chipping for unique prizes. On Friday morning golfers tee off with a shotgun start on the challenging Turnberry Isle golf course. Registration is at 8, tournament starts at 9 a.m., followed by a luncheon to announce the winners. Later that evening, the popular Hook & Tackle Captain’s Party will take place at the Miami Beach Marina at 6:30 p.m., featuring a silent auction and entertainment. Amateur and professional anglers take off on Saturday morning from the Miami Beach Marina for the Fins Weekend Fishing Tournament, presented by Alterna Financial. The day of offshore fishing with Dolphins players and alumni culminates with the Hooters Weigh-In from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The first place finisher will win a flight on the team charter to a Dolphins road game. That evening at the awards ceremony, the winner of the biggest catch will be announced.
