Miami Marlins Charity Partner WeekendPublished on: June 23rd, 2012 by SoFlaNights.com
Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and the Miami Marlins will host a weekend of fun events at Marlins Park as the Marlins take on the Tortonto Blue Jays in a 3-game homestand. Part of the official Charity Partner Weekend, the Marlins will highlight all that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade does for the South Florida community. Friday’s 7:10 p.m. game features an after-party, Club Blue Nite at the Clevelander. On Saturday, for the 1:10 p.m. game start, 18-year-old Ahbria Marshall of the Northwest Boys & Girls Club will throw out the first pitch, and Boys & Girls Clubs alumna, 12-year-old Elizabeth Elias, will sing the national anthem. Plus eight kids will get an autographed ball as they take the field with players at their respective positions for “Kid Starting Line Up.” Family Day is Sunday at the 1:10 p.m. game with a high-end kid giveaway, Radio Disney on the West Plaza, and the Diamond Dash following the game. Festivities for each game will include pre- and post-game entertainment and activities with silent auctions, raffles, giveaways and more! Baseline reserved seats are $20 (regularly $35), and a portion of ticket sales during the weekend will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. Individual tickets available online only. For groups of 20 or more, call 1-877-MARLINS.
