The Ocean House Residence by Alison AntrobusPublished on: July 17th, 2012 by SoFlaNights.com
Owner iStar Residential unveils Ocean House’s new model unit, a spectacular beachfront residence designed by award-winning Alison Antrobus, with an invitation-only cocktail party on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. In designing the 4,344-square-foot unit, Antrobus imagined a well-traveled couple with a penchant for collectable furnishings and art objects, such as a hand-carved, mid-20th century walnut bench, 1970s Lucite desk and a hand-sewn leather carpet atop the white timber floors. The palette of cool-to-warm grays accented with crisp whites creates a calm, fresh ambiance, and glass walls in the dramatic entry and in the master bath contribute to the home’s airy spaciousness.
Antrobus collaborated with Ornare on the gourmet kitchen, which integrates an organically shaped wood slab cantilevered into seamless Corian countertops. Ornare also designed closets for the master and guest suites, incorporating ivory leather panel doors and custom jewelry drawers into the master closet. Miami graphic designer Pedro Rodriguez’s sensual chalk-on-blackboard floral mural brings nature inside. The exquisitely furnished, three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath residence also features a media lounge, sunset and sunrise terraces and a beachfront great room, and is available for $6.95 million.
