ROK:BRGR Opens in South MiamiPublished on: August 19th, 2012 by SoFlaNights.com
After Ft. Lauderdale Rok:Brgr opens its second outpost in South Miami, taking over a substantial corner smack in the middle of Sunset Place, and is dressing the joint up with flatscreens, black leather booths, and brick-lined walls. Gastropubs, or the idea of serving gourmet food in a bar setting, are a fairly new idea to dining. Popularized across the pond during the 1990s, major American cities have quickly embraced the concept. ROK:BRGR opened its first location in Fort Lauderdale 20 months ago, and has already won several awards and become a local favorite. Tuesday’s opening of a second ROK:BRGR in South Miami is the first of what Falsetto and his business partner Charles Hazlett are planning. Comfort staples like Mom’s Meatloaf, Mini Kobe Hot Dogs, Lobster Corndogs, and an assortment of fries and rings round out the menu. And of course there are 18 Signature Burgers and the make-your-own burger bar, all made from whopping 10 oz patties. Rok:Brgr serves craft beers and handmade cocktails until the early morning hours to go with those late-night cravings.
