Amigos For Kids 10th Annual ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night Kick-Off at MIYO HomePosted on: April 2nd, 2014 by Deondra Clark
MIYO Home presented Noelia Madiedo “Untouched,” an exhibition of travel photography exclusively for MIYO Home, in collaboration with Amigos For Kids, a non-profit organization committed to child abuse awareness and prevention, to kick-off the annual ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night.
For the unveiling of the photography exhibit, Noelia Madiedo personally introduced 25 limited and numbered works in editions of 19 that will be on display and available for purchase at MIYO Home until June 2014. Madiedo has traveled the globe to places she felt drawn to such as Nepal and Bhutan to capture some of the most extraordinary photographs of the local people. When asked where she wants to go next, she said, “I want to visit Japan and photograph the Geisha women.” With that in mind, there is no doubt that Noelia’s gift for spotting and capturing a scene transforms the everyday into the exceptional. MIYO Home is dedicated to offering the finest quality limited edition pieces that are contemporary yet timeless. Known for its artful assortments, the collaboration with photographer Madiedo is a perfect partnership as her work displays as much individuality and life as each furnishing and accessory available at MIYO Home.
Also, to commemorate the upcoming annual signature fundraiser ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night, MIYO Home will donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Amigos For Kids. The nonprofit has been around for more than 20 years and they continue to fight for diverse needs of South Florida’s abused and abandoned, neglected and less-fortunate children and their families, through education, abuse prevention and community involvement. To fulfill its mission, Amigos For Kids relies on the support of dedicated volunteers and donors throughout the community. The organization creates awareness through public service campaigns and high-profile fundraising events such as the ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night. President and CEO, Rosa Maria Plasencia reminded us all that she will continue to push forward with the nonprofit when she said, “I made a promise to myself, that when I moved back to Miami, I wanted to make a difference in a child’s life. That is why I do what I do.”
