Larios on the Beach UnveilingPosted on: May 14th, 2014 by SoFlaNights.com
Gloria and Emilio Estefan opened Larios on The Beach in 1992, featuring traditional Cuban fare, celebrated mojitos and a magnificent view of South Beach’s famous Ocean Drive, this exclusive location is one that has become a “must-see” for locals and visitors alike. Having undergone a complete renovation to its interiors, Larios on the Beach will re-open to the public on Friday, May 16.
Estefans this time collaborated with executive Chef Odell Torres to create a new menu, featuring sweet and salty bacon-wrapped maduros; black bean hummus; chicken vaca frita; and tropical ceviche. The restaurant’s signature dishes, including the lechón, house made pork tamales and classic arroz con pollo will remain on the menu, but new to it entirely is The Triple C, “Calorie Conscious Cuban,” a selection of guilt-free Cuban dishes created by Gloria including marinated and grilled fresh grouper, baked plantain chips and vegetarian black beans. While Gloria helped re-image the menu, Emilio worked on redesigning the interior, including new open dining design featuring outdoor cafe, espresso bar and lounge.
