2017 Be A Voice, Be a Light GalaPosted on: January 14th, 2017 by SoFlaNights.com
Voices For Children Foundation and presenting sponsor Harry Winston, Inc. celebrated the 21st Annual “Be A Voice, Be A Light Gala,” welcoming 500 of Miami’s most influential and philanthropic individuals for a spectacular evening to benefit foster children of Miami-Dade County. Voices For Children Foundation is a not-for profit organization that raises funds to help ensure that abused, abandoned and neglected children in the Miami-Dade County foster care system have a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem. Additionally, the organization offers financial assistance and other resources for their health, educational and social needs.
The premier fundraising event, hosted by the Mandarin Oriental Miami, kicked off with an elegant cocktail reception, with an immersive Harry Winston experience, and the opportunity purchase raffle tickets to win a Harry Winston Midnight Monochrome 18k rose gold watch, as well as bid on luxury goods and services in a silent auction. The cocktail reception was followed by dinner in the ballroom and a night of dancing to the sounds of DJ Kucha. Gala Chairs Brad and Suzanne Meltzer and Voices honored Steve and Aimee Owens for their unwavering support of Voices For Children over the last 16 years, and guests heard the inspiring testimonial of a young woman whose life has been changed by the work of Voices For Children.
