Before ‘The Conjuring’ There Was AnnabellePosted on: September 22nd, 2014 by SoFlaNights.com
Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema presents a special VIP experience for the upcoming film: Annabelle, supernatural horror film directed by John R. Leonetti, produced by James Wan, and written by Gary Dauberman. Guests were able get up close and personal with Annabelle and actor Tony Amendola, while enjoying cocktails, hors d’ oeuvres and photo opportunities at the famously haunted Biltmore Hotel.
Annabelle is both a prequel to and spin-off of ‘The Conjuring’, staring Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard, Ward Horton, Eric Ladin, Brian Howe and Tony Amendola, who plays Father Perez. Known for his role as Pinocchio’s creator/father Geppetto on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, Amendola is a multi-skilled actor with projects including CSI:NY, Terminator, Charmed and the Mask of Zorro. Amendola practices Catholicism as a religion, but believes that as an actor, his beliefs are immaterial and must remain open-minded. For Annabelle tour Amendola engaged his longtime friend from LA, Salvador Gata of Botánica El Indio, a spiritualist & psychic reader, who performed cleansing for the interested in the audience. Born with the clairvoyant gift in Santiago de Cuba, and with over 30 years of experience, Salvador is extremely accurate and sharp in his readings, and cleansing.
Released last year, The Conjuring was probably the most successful supernatural horror of the lase decade at the box office with $318 million worldwide. Annabelle was a small part of that movie and now in this new spin-off you get to see the full story behind the creepy doll. The Conjuring 2 is still coming next year, until then Annabelle gets her own horror flick that looks just as scary as you would expect, opening in theaters on October 3rd. #Annabelle #EvilEye
