7th Annual Friends of St. Jude Miami “It’s All About The Kids”Saturday, October 4, 7pm – JW Marriott Marquis, 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way, Downtown Miami

Friends of St. Jude Miami, the young professionals group dedicated to raising awareness and funding for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, and chaired by Jeb Bush Jr., hosted the seventh annual International Dermatology “It’s All About the Kids” event, presented by the Andrés Asion Foundation. This year, St. Jude recognized respected actor, producer and philanthropist, Eduardo Verastegui with the “Friends of St. Jude Ambassador Award.”

The event featured a tasting menu and cocktails, as well as music performances by The Culture Band and DJ Troubles. This year’s hosts include award-winning journalist and anchor of Univision Network’s news-magazine show Primer Impacto Pamela Silva Conde and recording artist Jencarlos Canela“I’ve had the pleasure to witness first-hand, the great work that St. Jude does for their patients and their families,” said Silvia Trinidad, from International Dermatology Research. “I am wholeheartedly committed to St. Jude and their tireless work in the advancements of cancer research and treatment for the children.”

St. Jude also presented the “St. Jude Stephan Gutierrez Award” to Lourdes Milian for her philanthropic and humanitarian efforts. “In many cases, St. Jude is the last hope for children suffering from cancer, who have previously not responded well to standard treatments, because St. Jude is where doctors send their toughest cases as the hospital has the world’s best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers”, said Andres Asion. “They are at the forefront of developing new treatment options that are then shared freely with hospitals around the world.”
