In celebration of Miami’s 100th birthday, a five-day long event is being held by FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach that provides an inovative platform for established and emerging designers to showcase their collections. The unique environment created by Art Conductor, an organization which encourage and stimulates the flow on energy and creativity between the artist and thr community, captivates the attention, enriching and diversifying FUNKSHION into multidisciplinary experience.
Local Miami swimwear designer, Liliana Montoya kicked off Miami Beach Centennial Celebration on the evening of March 22nd with a VIP cocktail reception, followed by a runway show and after-party. Liliana Montoya Swimwear Show started at 9pm featuring Sevenfriday Watches, followed by the Original Penguin Fashion Show at 9:30pm, and ended with Cubavera Show at 9:45 p.m. DJ Orazio Rispo provided the music to get the evening into high gear.
Montoya is known for her flattering swimsuits of brilliant colors, with a style that is meant for every personality. Montoya’s newets and most in demand collection “Mermaids Destination HOLBOX” redefines the of feminine style and elegance in swimwear. Women will find themselves dancing at the water’s edge in this beautifully handcrafted, multicultural and textured “Mermaids” line. The appeal of the line can be found in the fine detail of design and quality of materials.
FUNKSHION also showcased onLoop, a new open messaging mobile app where you can share interests and make new friends. onLoop app for iOS debuted at SXSW 2015, with the Android version set for public launch in late March. Visitors to the onLoop Lounge can get a sneak preview of what the onLoop app is capable of.
