Grammy Award-winner Sarah McLachlan headlined the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ annual benefit, “Shine On”, on March 28th, 2015. The Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and pianist is known for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano vocal range. She has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards and four Juno Awards for her album “Surfacing.” Her most recent album, “Shine On,” is an exploration of McLachlan’s personal journey navigating love, loss and change.
The event, presented by the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Fort Lauderdale, a project by Fort Partners, showcased the best of the Broward Center with cocktails in the Peck Courtyard; dinner in the Amaturo Theater – transformed into to an elegant multi-tiered dinner club; VIP orchestra seating for McLachlan’s Shine On performance; and a post-show party with dessert, cocktails and entertainment at the Huizenga Pavilion and the Wendt Terraces. Proceeds benefit the education and enrichment programs of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, the non-profit, fundraising energy, vision and support behind the impactful Broward Center.
