SLS LUX Brickell and Books & Books, hosted an intimate talk and book signing with Juan Carlos Botero, son of celebrated Colombian artist Fernando Botero, and the author of the 2013 biography about his father, Colombian artist Fernando Botero: The Art of Fernando Botero. One of Botero’s celebrated large-scale bronzes, titled Male Torso, is on display at SLS LUX.

This biography will offer us an intimate and visual tour in Fernando Boteros’s art through the words of his son Juan Carlos Botero who outlines his father’s place in contemporary art, examines the main themes in his work, and discusses his artistic principles.
