At Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s 4th Annual “Claws for Kids” fundraising at Joe’s Stone Crab, guests enjoyed delicious stone crabs and other signature Joe’s cuisine without the wait. The event kick-off with a cocktail reception, followed by brunch available only for supporters of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s “Claws for Kids.”Menu items included stone crabs, coleslaw, hash brown potatoes, creamed spinach and Key Lime pie. Frank Sinatra impersonator Jeff Grainger of Sinatra Sounds Entertainment by tradition provided entertainment.
THE COLLECTION, a long-standing supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, including sponsorship of the annual Golf Classic since 2011, received the “From the Heart Award.” This award honors a person, family or organization that has shown overwhelming support and constant dedication to the children of the community and beyond.
This year’s event was co-chaired by Judy Kramer, a retired Miami-Dade County Public Schools executive, and Ruth Jimenez, vice president of Coconut Grove Bank and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade board member. Kramer has chaired the event two prior times in the event’s four-year history. All event proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s newly renovated South Beach location.
