The edgy Miami Ironside design enclave celebrated Maison & Objet America’s inaugural year with a vibrant series of events, including an innovative design installation by Florida International University’s College of Architecture + The Arts (CARTA) and recent works by Maison & Objet Designer of the Year recipient Zanini de Zanine from Brazil and VONDOM furniture creations by French designer Eugeni Quitllet.
Campus Collective Party Friday night, the district-wide event showcased Ironside’s showrooms and studios with open doors, celebrating art, design and creativity on the Upper Eastside. Guests experienced the campus alit and discover everything the creative district has to offer. Oscar Ono, the Parisian purveyor of bespoke wood flooring and wall paneling, held a cocktail reception hosted by Oscar Ono U.S. Brand President Roberto Lugo. ART LEXÏNG presented the first U.S. solo exhibition of Parisian urban artist/street poet Fred Le Chevalier. The evening also included music by Barbara Evans Trio, French flair cuisine, specialty cocktails by Villa Azur’s new restaurant Brasserie Azur, and a featured talk and public performance with French design duo Mel & Kio in the COVERINGSETC Showroom.
