2016 Las Olas Wine and Food FestivalPosted on: April 29th, 2016 by Miriam Cronkhite
The 21st Las Olas Wine & Food festival is the premier event on Las Olas, featuring hundreds of nationally recognized wines, over fifty of the area’s finest eateries and over seventy vendors.
In this annual benefit for the American Lung Association, thousands of people gathered to experience a night of live music, amazing food, craft beer and many varieties of wine. Despite the rush at 7:30 opening, lines moved quickly and wine glasses were promptly filled.
Exhibits and ‘Experience Coves’ were scattered throughout the festival. The Woodford Reserve 1920’s Speak Easy, hosted by Stache Drinking Den, was an impressive recreation of a lounge complete with a surrounding wall, hanging dim lights, comfortable sofas, a talented singer and a stocked bar.
The exciting live Chef Cook-offs took place in on its own stage and the winners are:
BATTLE BURGER – Chef Dustin of @BLTPrimeMiami
BATTLE LAND – Chef Yukie with #MamaMia
BATTLE SEA – Chef Andres Teran of #JWBprime
Put this event on your calendar if you love food and wine.
