Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry Chefs' Dinner at Avocado GrillTuesday, July 18, 6:30pm-9:30pm – Avocado Grill, 125 Datura St, West Palm Beach

Avocado Grill in West Palm Beach hosted its second annual Taste of the Nation Chef’s Dinner to benefit No Kid Hungry, a campaign that fights to end child hunger by educating families in need to cook and food shop on a budget.

Julien Gremaud, executive chef and owner of Avocado Grill, teamed up with chefs Aaron Black and Eric Grutka to prepare a five-course Caribbean-inspired meal with wine pairings. The featured menu consisted of Wahoo Coconut Dragon Fruit Ceviche, Charred Conch and Heart of Palm Salad, Seared Lane Snapper with Curry Sauce, Jerk Rubbed Beef Spare Rib and Passion Fruit Tres Leches Cake.

Gremaud said that he is glad to have hosted an event to benefit the effort to fight child hunger for a second consecutive year. “We’re proud to host this summertime event to help generate even more awareness about the dire needs right here in our community as well as raise monies to help support local efforts,” Gremaud said in a press release.

Proceeds will benefit the No Kid Hungry, a campaign of the anti-hunger organization, Share Our Strength. Andy Villabona, the southeast regional manager of culinary events for No Kid Hungry, was in attendance to tell guests about the work his organization does to ensure that every child in America has access to healthy food where they live. Guests continued to donate to No Kid Hungry throughout the dinner.
