Sagamore Hotel Miami Beach welcomes the new year with an innovative, must-see art exhibit, entitled American Icon and Tell Me a Story. The unveiling will begin with a private event on February 1st, 2017 from 6PM – 9PM, and continue through March 15, 2017, for the public to enjoy. The pieces shown highlight the country’s most celebrated icons and recognized periods of time.
Sagamore’s art curator Sebastien Laboureau carefully selected artists and pieces that best honor this theme and will allow guests to see history from a more creative perspective. These well admired artists include Miami’s Mr. E, known for his Benjamin Franklin bill as well as Keith Haring, Russell Young and Alexi Torres’ George Washington and Abraham Lincoln portrait. Kaufman Vardy Projects, comprised of partners Fran Kaufman and Ilana Vardy and curators of several international exhibitions including their latest Men in Suits (NYC), are also responsible for bringing the Tell Me a Story exhibit to life.
With the city’s booming art industry, the hotel showcases a new exhibit every 60 days and has developed partnerships with the cultural community including Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM,) and the New World Symphony to bring a plethora of creative activations for your viewing pleasure. Thursday, February 2nd – March 15th from 9AM – 9PM (open to the public). #SagamoreisArt @sagamorehotel
