Dessert Wars Miami is the largest dessert festival in America. With over 50 vendors, you have a lot of decisions to make and over 45,000 desserts to choose from! Forget those New Year’s resolutions and get ready to satisfy your Sweet Tooth! 2018 Miami Beer Fest

2018 Miami Beer FestSaturday, January 20, 5pm-9pm – Marlins Park, 501 Marlins Way, Miami

The 6th annual Miami Beer Festival brings together dozens of craft and international breweries, as well as Southern Florida’s best local breweries. The event will take place at the plaza of Marlins Park, and will feature food trucks, DJs, entertainment, and some delicious beers. Admission if $40 for general admission and $50 for VIP (includes an additional hour with some specialty beers poured during the first hour). Admission includes beer. Food is sold separately. Proceeds will support 1 Lucky Dog Rescue, Inc, a no kill non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. All attendees must be 21 and over.

Dr. Sandra Steingraber, co-founder of the Concerned Health Professionals of New York, will visit Miami-Dade College to educate the general public about the potential health threats related to fracking. New and unconventional drilling methods for oil and gas could have endless, catastrophic effects on South Florida. The Concerned Health Professionals of New York, along with Physicians for Social Responsibility, have issued multiple health compendiums on the over 500 peer-reviewed studies on the impacts of fracking. Dr. Steingraber’s visit coincides with the completion of the 5th version of the Compendium of Scientific, Medical, and Media Findings Demonstrating Risks and Harms of Fracking.

W Miami – in partnership with DayBreaker MIA – will host Saturday Morning Disco Fever, the first ever Saturday morning DayBreaker party on the property’s stunning 50th floor rooftop WET Deck. Starting at 10 a.m., guests will begin their morning with a yoga class, taking in all the breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay. At 11 a.m. disco fever begins! Guests are encouraged to don their favor 70’s attire (think: afro wigs and platform shoes) and get funky with a dance party with beats by Dude Skywalker. Free breakfast bites will be provided by Mantiboa Harvest and GT’s Kombucha, in addition to complimentary coffee and healthy juices. The day doesn’t end at 1 p.m., as all Daybreaker-ers will be gain day access to the property’s 50th floor WET Deck rooftop and lounge poolside, free of charge, for the remainder of the day. Tickets start at just $20 for those looking to just boogie, and $30 for the full yoga and dance experience.
